At 4095 meters above sea level, the summit of Mount Kinabalu (Low’s Peak), is the 3rd highest in Southeast Asia. It is considered a ‘trekking peak’, which means that at no point in the main route is any mountaineering equipment needed.
“Mount Kinabalu (Malay: Gunung Kinabalu) is a prominent mountain on the island of in Southeast Asia. It is located in the East Malaysian state of Sabah and is protected as Kinabalu National Park, a World heritage Site. Kinabalu is the tallest peak in Borneo’s Crocker Range and is the tallest mountain in the Malay Archipelago. Mount Kinabalu is also the 20th most prominent mountain in the world by topographic prominence.”[2]
Itinerary
Day One
Upon Arrival in Kota Kinabalu International Airport (KKIA), transfer to Kinabalu Park HQ by private charter bus or van. Overnight stay at Park HQ Lodge. [Dinner Provided]
Day Two
After breakfast, walk over to Kinabalu Park HQ for climb registration. Head to Timpohon Gate(1866m) by shuttle to start the trek up to Laban Rata Resthouse(3270m) via Timpohon Summit Trail. Buffet Dinner at Laban Rata Resthouse. [Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner Provided]
Day Three (Summit Day!)
Wake up at 0200hrs, begin summit climb at 0230hrs to Low’s Peak(4095m). Catch a view of an amazing sunrise from the summit (depending on weather and timing). Trek back down to Laban Rata for a short rest before making the final descent to Kinabalu Park HQ. Pick up our certificates and head back to kota kinabalu by private transport. Evening Free and Easy. Overnight stay at KK city hotel. [2x Breakfast and Lunch Provided]
Day Four
Morning Free and Easy. Head back to KKIA via private transport for flight back to Singapore.

- All Airport and Land Transfers in Sabah by private charter bus or van
- Full Accomodation arrangement: Air-Conditioned Dormitory sharing-room at Kinabalu Park HQ Lodge, non-heated dormitory rooms at Laban Rata Resthouse, Air-Conditioned Dormitory Room in budget (walk-up) hostel in KK city.

- Full Mountain Trekking Arrangement (including climbing permit, park entry fee, local mountain guides’ fees & summit certificate)
- 3x a week conditional training (strongly recommended but not compulsory)
