Gunung Rinjani. Indonesia’s most panaromic and picturesque volcanic mountain, a solitary giant towering over the island of Lombok, east of Bali in the archipelago of Indonesia. Standing at 3726m, it is a sight easily noticed from all around Lombok. Following the eruption of Mount Rinjani in the 13th Century, a crater lake, the Segara Anak, had formed over the Rinjani caldera together with the formation of a new baby volcano,  Gunung Baru. Over the years, with the precipation at an altitude of 2000m, the landscape had been shaped beautifully by nature and is a sacred place for the locals and an awesome sight to behold.
