December Expedition to China 2010
This coming year end December is a very happening time for our club! Why? Because MIR10 will be attempting their Technical Mountaineering Course (TMC) in the Siguniang Mountains of Northwest China whilst the seniors will be returning to China yet again to climb the breathtaking mountains. MIR10 will be doing ice climbing in Shuang Qiao Valley whilst the rest will be going to four places in China, namely E mei shan, one of the five sacred buddhist mountains, Camel’s Peak in the Siguniang Nature Reserve, Jiu Zai Gou to the north, another UNESCO site along with E mei, and the city of Xi’An northeast of Chengdu. In Xi’An we will be visiting Qin Shi Huang’s Terracotta Army and climbing Hua shan yet another scenery spot of historical heritage.
