MIR (Pre-Assessment) Training Week 10 (190312 – 250312)

Hi all!~

Hey it’s pre-assessment week! Last chance to train/gauge urself before assessment! Here’s this week’s training details:

Tuesday 20 March

Training Plan: 10km Endurance Run + Light Calisthenics

Time to meet: 1815hrs. Approximate ending time is 2030hrs.

Venue to meet: Outside MIR Store/Clubroom

Attire: Physical Training Attire (dri-fit clothing where possible) and running shoes.

Thursday 22 March

Training Plan: 10km Fast March + Light Calisthenics

Training Load: 14kg for Guys and 12kg for Girls

Time to meet: 1815hrs. Approximate ending time is 2030hrs.

Venue to meet: Outside MIR Store/Clubroom

Attire: Physical Training Attire (dri-fit clothing where possible) and running shoes.

Saturday 24 March

Training Plan: Clementi Stairs Training

Time to meet: 0830hrs.

Attire: Physical Training Attire(dri-fit clothing where possible) and trekking shoes/boots.

Training Load: 10kg for All. Do waterproof your stuff in the event of bad weather.

Venue to meet: Outside MIR Store/Clubroom

Well the midterms are more or less over, hope everyone tried their best whether they did well or not! Anyway let’s look towards the finals and train hard in the meantime! Jiayou and cya! =D

MIR Training Week 9 (120312 – 180312)

Hi all!~

Wow time really flies when you’re training hard! Hope everyone learnt alot for technical training last saturday! Here’s this week’s training details:

Tuesday 13 March

Training Plan: 10km Hort Park Run + Calisthenics

Time to meet: 1815hrs. Approximate ending time is 2030hrs.

Venue to meet: Outside MIR Store/Clubroom

Attire: Physical Training Attire (dri-fit clothing where possible) and running shoes.

Thursday 15 March

Training Plan: Long Distance Intervals + Calisthenics

Time to meet: 1815hrs. Approximate ending time is 2030hrs.

Venue to meet: Outside MIR Store/Clubroom

Attire: Physical Training Attire (dri-fit clothing where possible) and running shoes.

Saturday 17 March

Training Plan: Bukit Timah Hill Training (5 Sets)

Time to meet: 0830hrs.

Attire: Physical Training Attire(dri-fit clothing where possible) and trekking shoes/boots.

Training Load: 12kg for girls and 14kg for guys. Do waterproof your stuff in the event of bad weather.

Venue to meet: Bukit Timah Visitor’s Center (Click here if you are unsure how to get there)

We are into the final phases of training before our Assessment Weeks in Week 11 and Week 12! Hope everyone is ready to ultimately outdo themselves and eventually outdo the mountain(if conditions are applicable)! Have an enjoyable week ahead! =D

It’s eLearning Week(for engineers =P)! Whether you take engine mods or not,  just wanna wish everyone a great week ahead! Here’s this week’s training details:

Tuesday 06 March

Training Plan: Cadence Run + Calisthenics

Time to meet: 1815hrs. Approximate ending time is 2030hrs.

Venue to meet: Outside MIR Store/Clubroom

Attire: Physical Training Attire (dri-fit clothing where possible) and running shoes.

Thursday 08 March

Training Plan: 10km Fast March + Calisthenics

Time to meet: 1815hrs. Approximate ending time is 2045hrs.

Venue to meet: Outside MIR Store/Clubroom

Training Load: 14kg for Guys & 12kg for Girls

Attire: Physical Training Attire (dri-fit clothing where possible) and running shoes.

Saturday 10 March

Training Plan: Technical Training @ NUS

Time to meet: 0800hrs

Things To Bring: Harness, Karabiners, Belay Device, Sling, Prusik Cords

Venue to meet: Outside MIR Store/Clubroom

Attire: Physical Training Attire(dri-fit clothing where possible) and trekking shoes/boots.

I understand the training is getting tougher, not to mention the increasing workload as the semester’s revision is piling up. But I still have to remind everyone that even though schoolwork and training may be squeezing you dry from both sides, the tough will prevail. I believe it is through hard work we succeed and not luck. Let’s all study and train hard together as a Team, as 1 MIR11! =D
